Right
from the spot,
in 1986, when I commenced working as a graphic designer,
the "Apple" had become my medium to also paint digitally.
Many people find their existential balance
in music, literature or sports - I found it here, in
this form of art.
Not being a coeval, who cherishes exhibitionistic ballyhoo,
I kept my work under closure until 3 years ago.
Positive feedback in my circle of acquaintance and positive
"pressure" from my friends "overpowered" and
inspired me to present my paintings to the public.
Nevertheless, despite my step into the
public, my paintings are still something very intimate
for me.
Showing them feels like unveiling a very fragile
part of myself.
For me, personally, a real success would be to be deeply
tangent to the viewer with one or more of
my paintings.
I attribute my digital paintings power and authenticity
and wish that these values reflect and develop in my
viewers.
Although my digital paintings are given names,
they relinquish hackneyed explanations.
In fact they are meant to open clearance to the viewers
to listen inside themselves, trust their own feelings
and to interpret without any instructions what is opening
up to their eyes - and particularly
not to drawing any conclusions to my person and my
artistic career.
Further passions are photography and photo
composing for which I leave artistic room on a regular
basis. Some of these works are also assembled here. |
